At MaKen Irrigation, Inc. we want every customer to receive the best quality product and service for their in-season and off-season requirements.  The MaKen V.I.P is a five-year program with three different levels to provide you with peace of mind that your pivot will run properly when needed.  For the next five years, after harvest, we will schedule a service technician to complete your level of MaKen V.I.P on your enrolled pivot.  Once completed, you will receive a custom report; showing what was done and what needs attention, repairs, replacement or updates, along with an estimate for those services.

After you have enrolled your pivot in one of the levels of the MaKen V.I.P, we would like to thank you with a V.I.P. Reward!

One Star Program

Pivot Point:

• Grease pivot swivel
• Drain pivot point
• Check anchor bolts or chains

Spans / Alignment Checks:

• Span pipe drains inspected / seals flipped
• Pull sand trap, drain, clean and re-install
  
• Drain booster pump
• Check grounding between towers
• Visual inspection of nuts/bolts and structural members
• Check that control arm is clear of obstacles

Drive Unit Checks:

• Check oil and drain water in wheel and centerdrive gearboxes
• Check gearbox ventilation hole in expansion chamber
• Inspect drive shaft shield placement
• Check for proper tire air pressure
• Check flex joint boot condition and tighten bands as required

Two Star Program

Includes ALL One Star Program checks Plus:

Pivot Point / Incoming Power Checks:

• Running light operation check
• Visual inspection for proper equipment grounding
• Check electrical connections: control panel and cord connectors
• Visually check pivot contactors for arcing

Spans / Alignment Checks:

• Check safety shutdown
• Visually inspect tower box contactors
• Inspect tower box covers for damage & proper latching
• Check power cable condition
• Visually check and re-align the machine if needed

Three Star Program

Includes ALL One Star Program checks and Two Star Program checks and the following:

Pivot Point / Incoming Power Checks:

• Check for proper size fuses
• Check for proper installation of incoming power wires
• Check for proper operation of auxiliary contacts on main disconnect
  
• Check operation of pump shutdown circuit

Spans / Alignment Checks:

• Inspect tower box for any loose wire connections and cord connectors
• Inspect tower box bearings for proper cam movement
• Check for proper safety micro switch position
